From 2007 to 2009 he was lead counsel on numerous jury and bench trials while working as a Defense Attorney for the State of New Mexico.
In 2009, after a disabling motorcycle accident, he worked in a prosthetic lab, learned to fabricate artificial limbs and raced motorcycles. Most notably, in 2011 ranking 3rd overall in the New Mexico Desert Series, at times during competition, crashing so hard his prosthetic leg would fall off. Attorney Martin is able to use that fierce drive to represent clients, both in and outside the courtroom. Since returning to Massachusetts Attorney Martin’s racing career has taken a back seat to his law practice.
Attorney Martin has resumed his work for the less fortunate, this time in Roxbury District Court as an attorney with Suffolk Lawyers For Justice. As a member of this community, Attorney Martin has access to vast resources compiled by this dedicated group of defense attorneys. Attorney Martin’s recent jury trial wins speak for themselves.
His extensive experience as a trial attorney and athlete are integral components of his success in criminal defense, while his motorcycle accident has given him first hand knowledge of how serious personal injuries can alter one’s life, putting him in an ideal position to help make injured people whole.
