Newburyport District Court

Client acquired a debt in excess of $9500 dollars for business and living expenses when times were good.  After client’s seasonal work died down he began missing payments.  Client tried numerous times to work out a payment plan with big credit card company but they were not receptive to the talks.  His interest rate climbed to 25% and his monthly payments remained unmanageable.

Client waited to hire Attorney Martin until after Credit Card Company filed a lawsuit in District Court.  Attorney Martin met with the Big Credit Card Company’s lawyer and promptly negotiated a settlement of $2000.  The remainder of the $7500 plus debt was completely forgiven.
