Attorney was surprised and delighted when he moved for dismissal and against the Commonwealth’s objection and request for a continuance, the defense motion was allowed. The domestic dispute which had been labeled as a kidnapping had lingered for much longer than anticipated as the Commonwealth sought evidence for prosecution against the complaining witness’s wishes. Upon dismissal, the family was reunited and rejoiced as they had been ordered not to contact each other for the pendency of the criminal case, a period lasting many painful months.
